About

Built by a practitioner who was tired of guessing.

Hi. I'm Ramsey — a practising clinician, the founder of Blue Mountain Wellness, and the person behind The Premium Practitioner. This page is the short version of why this exists.

The short version

I spent the first years of my career doing exactly what most practitioners do. I focused on my clinical craft. I worked a heavy book. I raised my rate once, apologised for it, and then did not raise it again for a long time. The business side of my practice sat at the bottom of every to-do list, under the weight of a dozen more urgent things.

Somewhere along the way the numbers stopped adding up. I was full. I was good at the work. And the number at the end of the month was still smaller than the life I was trying to build for my family. That is when I started treating the business side of my practice the way I had always treated the clinical side — as something worth studying, practising, and slowly getting good at.

What I learned

The practitioners who stay in this profession for thirty years are not the ones who work the hardest. They are the ones who build a business system around the work — a system that pays them fairly, protects their energy, and grows with them.

Blue Mountain Wellness

Blue Mountain Wellness is the clinic I founded in the Collingwood area. It is a full-service, client-facing practice — massage therapy, athletic and recovery services, retreat offerings — and it is the proof of concept for everything I teach inside The Premium Practitioner.

Every tool, template, rate structure, intake flow, rebooking script, and passive income experiment I share here was tested in my own clinic first. Some worked on the first try. Most did not. What is in The Premium Practitioner is the second, third, or tenth version — the one that actually holds up in real practice.

The Premium Practitioner

The Premium Practitioner is the education brand. It is where I publish the tools, the courses, and the community that grew out of running Blue Mountain Wellness. It is written for regulated bodyworkers — Registered Massage Therapists primarily, and practitioners with comparable regulatory frameworks where the language applies.

Three things sit at the centre of it:

  • Tools you can use the same day. Calculators, worksheets, scripts, and templates — not abstract business theory.
  • Honest writing. No hype, no income screenshots, no guarantees of outcome. If something in this profession is complicated, I say so. If a claim is not mine to make, I do not make it.
  • CMTO-appropriate language throughout. Every asset is written with the Standards of Practice and the Advertising Regulation in mind. You can share anything in here inside a regulated practice and trust that the language holds up.

What I am not

I am not a coach, a guru, a financial advisor, or a lawyer. I am a clinician who has spent a long time paying attention to the business side of a small practice, and I share what I have learned with the care I bring to a clinical hour.

For tax, legal, or regulatory questions, please always talk to your own accountant, lawyer, or college. Anything in this site that touches those areas is shared as information, not advice.

What's next

The site is growing on a slow, deliberate cadence. New tools roughly monthly. A short newsletter every other Sunday. Occasional longer courses. All of it built around the same idea — that a premium practice is not a louder practice or a more expensive one. It is a practice designed, on purpose, around the life the practitioner is trying to build.
